| LA actually had three good rock stations, KMET 94.7, KLOS 95.5 (still there) and K-WEST 106 (which is now RAP/R&B POWER fm) while I was growing up. |

| Gorky's (Downtown LA and Hollywood locations) had good food for a good price. Ah, I remember the stuffed cabbage well. Homeless people were hired to work there and gave them a way out of their situation and the owner a tax break. Good concept--- too bad it is still not around. Plus, the home micro brewed beer was excellent!!! And the entertainment/open mike nights were interesting. A VERY COOL PLACE!! |

| The Crush Bar is still around, but in a different location...Some good times and great music-- disco, funk, 1970s....a great hang for older single folk. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
